Cosworth is proud to announce its membership in the Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA), a leading global technology association dedicated to the ongoing evolution of innovative connected vehicles and the mobility ecosystem.

For over 65 years, Cosworth has been at the forefront of vehicle innovation, advancing propulsion, electrification and data control systems across both the automotive and motorsport spheres. Joining COVESA aligns with Cosworth’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of vehicle technologies, particularly as connected vehicles become an increasingly significant part of the global automotive and motorsport landscape.

COVESA is an alliance solely focused on creating common approaches and technologies for connected vehicles. By joining this open and member-driven collaboration, Cosworth will contribute to and benefit from projects aimed at addressing core industry challenges, including keeping the in-vehicle digital experience up to date; embracing the customer’s digital life; and integrating vehicles into broader mobility solutions.

With over a decade of experience in fostering active and open collaboration, COVESA has delivered critical industry standards such as the Vehicle Signal Specification (VSS), which is transforming how data is managed and shared in connected vehicles. Additionally, the alliance has cultivated a vibrant ecosystem of buyers and sellers, helping members achieve business goals and drive the adoption of innovative solutions.

Cosworth’s involvement in COVESA will not only allow the company to participate in projects that shape the future of connected mobility but also empower it to collaborate with other industry leaders on initiatives that enhance both the business and the broader mobility ecosystem.

“The opportunity to collaborate with partner organisations as part of a global alliance will be invaluable as we seek to drive race to road innovations into new vehicle and mobility solutions and push the boundaries of complex data and control systems,” said Stefan Balkowiec, Managing Director of Cosworth Electronics.

Steve Crumb, Executive Director at COVESA, added: “We are pleased to welcome Cosworth as a COVESA member. Cosworth’s expertise and commitment to high-performance vehicle technologies complement the collective efforts of our alliance. Like all of our members, Cosworth will play a key role in advancing the future of connected vehicles. Together, we are addressing the automotive industry’s evolving challenges and opportunities, fostering open collaboration that benefits the entire mobility ecosystem.”
